Testimonials
“We are so very thankful for Grass Roots Lawn and Landscaping who once again is coming through for our families. This amazing, family run business has been supporting Fairy Godmother Project and our Fredericksburg families since 2011 without anything in return. If you are looking for a lawn service, consider supporting a business that supports us. Thank you Chris, Dana, and Cathy! We are so thankful for your kindness and generosity!”
Andie McConnell – Executive Director, Fairy Godmother Project – Fredericksburg
“I have used Grass Roots Lawn and Landscaping for 4 years. I am completely satisfied with the lawn care service they have provided and find them very easy to work with. They are customer oriented and take the time to explain the lawn treatments they recommend. I highly recommend them as a lawn care service. They have different plans to meet the customer's desires and budgets.”

“Had no success with other lawn services and do-it-yourself seasonal lawn applications. Learned about Grassroots from a friend so we had them provide us a plan to "bring our lawn back". Not only were their prices very competitive, but the results were fantastic in the first year of using their service. Dana and his crew understand the unique soil conditions of our area and apply a formula for success. Didn't think it was possible to get grass growing in our heavily treed lot, but they did it! Highly recommend!”

Tip of the Month
Fertilization
Fall is the optimal time to overseed and fertilize your lawn. If you are seeding now, you should also apply a Starter Fertilizer. This type of fertilizer will give new grass seedlings the extra boost of nutrients they need for rapid root growth and to grow a strong, healthy root system.

Core-Aeration and Seeding
Aeration opens channels in the soil reducing compaction and creating a space for water, oxygen and nutrients to enter the soil. Seeding right after aeration increases the contact between seed and soil. This gives you a higher percentage of germinated grass seeds.
